GETTING PLANNING CONSENT Live/work development was a key element in the development framework drawn up by the Leaside Regeneration partnership for Fish Island where 22 per cent of the low density industrial space was vacant. The aim was to use live work to bring fresh investment into the area. Despite this policy support, Tower Hamlets planners were concerned about the loss of work space as a result of which they stipulated in the planning consent that the building should be specified to take a wide range of work uses (see below)
